Templar Blade Engagement - Case Study
Templar BLADE was deployed in support of a multi-national software provider. Scans were conducted of the dark net and open web and covered a range of targets including social media sites, blogs, websites and online marketplaces.
Templar analytical teams swiftly highlighted significant findings identifying the dark web sale of pirated and potentially modified copies of the company’s flagship products. Additionally we identified deliberate attempts to damage company reputation and indentified posts and articles that linked the company’s name and information with pornographic websites.
Armed with this information, the software company has been able to take effective steps to reduce risks to its reputation through association with 3rd party websites.
Templar was also able to execute on the appropriate course of action to reduce the immediate risk of pirated software being found on the dark web and develop a strategy to manage the reputational and financial impacts for the company over the long term.
